What is dermaplaning?

Dermaplaning aims to make your skin’s surface smooth, youthful, and radiant - and is excellent for special events like weddings.

Using a specially designed blade, this unique approach removes dead skin cells and vellus (peach fuzz) hair to reveal newer, younger skin.*  The treatment also stimulates the production of new, young skin cells to improve the health of your skin.  Active ingredients in your skincare range can then penetrate into the deeper layers of the skin so you begin to see better things from your skincare and require less product to do the job.

The procedure doesn’t require any downtime for recovery, which makes it extremely convenient. The effects of a single treatment last three – four weeks.

Dermaplaning is usually well tolerated by most people when undertaken by a certified and trained technician. Individual results may vary and possible side effects can be redness of the skin, a tingling sensation or mild soreness. Dermaplaning is not advised for inflammatory skin conditions such as acne and rosacea.

*Individual results can vary according to skin type, tone and medical history.
