Radiesse®

Whether it’s improvement in the lower face or the hands, Radiesse can provide a smooth, natural-looking result.

Radiesse

What is Radiesse®?

Radiesse® are dermal fillers that are used for smoothing moderate to severe facial wrinkles and folds, such as nasolabial folds. Radiesse® is also used for correcting volume loss in the back of the hands.

Radiesse® stimulates the natural production of collagen and fills in the lines, helping your skin develop new collagen in the process. RADIESSE® is made up of calcium hydroxyapatite (CaHa) gel microspheres which work immediately upon injection. The ions in CaHa are made up of calcium and phosphate which naturally occur in the body. The injection of the filler does the work by taking away the lines, then over time the production of collagen is also happening.

Radiesse® FAQS

Common side effects include, redness, swelling and bruising at the injection site.

Like all injectables there are less common side effects such as infection and complications from incorrect placement of filler. All of these will be discussed before your treatment with Freya.

Individual results vary, however, it is not uncommon to see some of the results of the filler after the treatment has been concluded. Best results can be seen a week after injection as the swelling has subsided. Results can be seen for up to two years and then the treatment can be repeated.
